While this may not guarantee
a larger garden harvest, by planting these seeds of wisdom, I hope to learn
and grow to become a better person.
Directions:
First, plant four rows of peas—Presence, Promptness, Preparation,
Perseverance
Next to these plant six rows of squash—Squash gossip…Squash
indifference…Squash criticism...Squash judgment...Squash hypocrisy...Squash envy....
Then plant six rows of lettuce—Let us obey rules of common courtesy…Let us
be aware of the lessons...Let us seek joy…Let
us laugh more often...Let us be true to ourselves...Let us be kind.
Finish the garden off with five rows of turnips—Turn up with a positive
attitude...Turn up with new ideas...Turn up with a smile...Turn up to help
others...Turn up and standup for what is right.
Fertilize with seeds of love. Say a prayer of thanks to God for the fruits
of your labor and for bestowing the honor of being the gardener.
The first year we lived here, The mailman told me the plants were
irises and needed to be divided. Used the Internet to learn about plants,
since I had no clue the difference between a flower and a weed. I
learned fast and enjoyed every minute. I learned the best time to transplant
spring bulbs was fall, so that October, we dug up all the irises to divide
them. Had no idea what to expect. The following photos are what came up that
spring. Needless to say; I was quite surprised and delighted.

God's Garden
The
kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
