I have the picture, the imprint is upon my mind.
Images I can recall anyplace, anytime.
Precious, timeless, the desire is all it takes,
To think back and live over again,
Another time, another place.
However, joyous that image may be,
There's a note of sadness when I realize,
It's just a memory.
But, at that same moment,
I feel a warmth inside.
A warmth that comes from the glow,
Of that memory and knowing it's with me,
For the rest of my life.
