WAL-MART IN AJN?
This link is not accessible unless you have RN license and subscribe to
AJN. However, I can relay to you that as a nurse who subscribes to AJN the
article is about subscribers who were outraged when the journal had a
Wal-Mart ad on it's back cover. The journal received overwhelming letters
of subscribers who threatened to cancel subscriptions due to AJN accepting
advertising from Wal-Mart. I personally completed a survey that AJN paid
an independent consultant to perform. They included a check for $5.00 as
compensation for taking the time to complete their survey. In that survey
I was asked if I planned to continue my subscription with AJN and I told
them no and explained that my decision was due to the Wal-Mart ad. The end
result being that there are no more Wal-Mart ads in AJN. By the way
-- I never cashed the $5 .00 check! WE the People have the Power!
